Sometimes it's just too hot to be inside
Alongside reading Dr Suess stories, we've been learning about the man himself. By the afternoon we're hot, tired and had enough so we've been escaping the library for fresher, cooler air.
Skateboarding week three
I've been so excited watching our skateboarders development. Many have found it hard but have pushed through and it's paid off!
Here's some photos from this week.

New experiences
I'm Mikhila and it's been great being in our new class. We have had some shifts around moving seats and as far as I know it's been fabulous. I'm quite shocked that my Maths has been going quite well. Because when I started getting into all the new Maths stuff I wasn't the best but I've practised more and I'm feeling good about myself.
It's been surprising how the first year of me being a senior is really cool. I was surprised that we were in the library instead of a classroom. I was hoping that my Maths would be a bit higher but I'm finding that the addition and subtraction is the easiest and multiplication and division is still quite hard. Each day I'm getting better by practising at home and at school. The best thing in this class is the reading. I love reading.

Room 25 have been drawing Dr Seuss pictures. I have been drawing trees and a character. My character is sitting on a chair at the beach and it looks weird because it has it's elbows on it's tummy. It is skinny and hair that is all diagonal.

In Room 17, Room 25 has been doing Music with Mr McLay. I played the xylophone and a drum. For our Inquiry, we're learning about Dr Seuss and sketching Dr Seuss style pictures. By Tatiana
Working in groups
Together we are writing what we would like to have included on our class treaty.
We work in small groups and then feed back the ideas to the larger group. Everyone's ideas are included and valued.
By the end of this term most of us will have worked in many different groups with many different children and will be more comfortable at sharing and working co-operatively.

Skateboarding is way too fun to be included in a school day!
